Asbestos Abatement
If your home or office was built prior to 1980 you may have harmful asbestos somewhere on your property. At All County Environmental and Restoration can identify and safely remove or abate the asbestos as deemed necessary by one of our certified asbestos handlers.
Asbestos was a versatile building resource used in a variety of materials such as: Vinyl asbestos tile, VCT, linoleum, vinyl sheet goods, transite pipe, transite siding, transite roofing, duct work, stucco, texturecoat, drywall, acoustic ceiling, popcorn ceiling, plaster, lath and plaster, buttonboard, fireproofing, mastic, pipe covering, mag piping, mag block, and more.
Homeowners are not required to remove asbestos from their home but it is highly recommended because exposure to asbestos has been proven to increase your risk of lung disease, especially if you smoke. That risk is made worse by smoking. With long periods of exposure to asbestos a person’s chances of developing health problems is much higher that if that asbestos was removed.
California state law requires that a seller who is aware of their home containing asbestos must disclose during the escrow/sale process and must do so in writing. For commercial properties the law states that the owner is responsible for securing asbestos abatement services where exposed and/or poses a hazard.
All County Environmental and Restoration can provide you with licensed abatement professionals who oversee your site decontamination process using proper containment and abatement procedures. We will also lawfully dispose of any hazardous materials removed from your site.
