Lead Tile Removal

Removing Lead Tiles

This is a lead abatement job in Palm Springs that had a supply line on the toilet leak for more than 3 days. While testing the drywall and acoustic for asbestos contamination the drywall came back hot, but most surprisingly, the ceramic floor tile also came back positive for lead. This is an extremely rare and startling situation. We had to put the entire house under containment, remove the floor and drywall, and then have the air tested once finished. This house was built in 1967.
